Newton County Colleges (NCS) has introduced the appointment of Donald Helm as the brand new principal of Newton County STEAM Academy (NCSA).
A Covington native and lifelong Newton County resident, Helm brings a wealth of expertise, deep neighborhood ties, and a ardour for training to his new function. He’ll formally assume management of the STEAM Academy on Dec. 11, 2024, succeeding Dr. LaMoyne Brunson, who retired earlier this fall.
Helm is a product of Newton County Colleges, having attended Palmer Stone Elementary, Cousins Center, and graduating from Newton Excessive College. His mom, a devoted profession educator, retired from the district, instilling in him a lifelong dedication to training and repair.
