On Thursday, Feb. 2025, the Covington Police Division (CPD) honored the women and men who make up the CPD group at their annual awards ceremony.
Awards included the 2024 Officer of the 12 months, Rookie of the 12 months and Prime Gun.
- Officer Phillip Matthews obtained the 2024 Officer of the 12 months award.
- Officer Jonathan Bruce obtained the 2024 Rookie of the 12 months award.
- Officer Michael Ward obtained the 2024 Prime Gun award.
The CPD additionally awarded the 2024 Departmental Worker of the 12 months recognitions to officers of their respective departments. To qualify, an worker will need to have been acknowledged as an Worker of the Quarter throughout 2024.
- Sgt. Brandon Wilkerson obtained the Patrol Worker of the 12 months award.
- Lt. Brian Shockley obtained the Help Companies Worker of the 12 months.
